About the event

Price of ticket includes basic materials for the in-person event only. We can't ship in time to potential locations on zoom, so materials will only be provided with the in-person ticket. Sanctuary Coffee is a non-profit coffee shop in Claremont, California, dedicated to impacting lives with every cup. This self-connecting class is a collaboration between Mindlessly Mindful and Parenting from Inside Out (PFIO), Meditative art through the Zentangle® method is entering a space of calm in the middle of an anxious mind. Through repetitive lines and curvy strokes, participants are able to draw simple patterns.  During class, everyone is encouraged to be mindful of breathing, with relaxed bodies and gentle drawing hands. The outcome is a beautiful art piece after an hour of art facilitation.  As founders of Zentangle®, Rick Roberts and Maria Smith encourage every participant that "there are no mistakes" when drawing Zentangle® art. Their hope is that everyone can feel the freedom to create and to boldly try art in a space that is free of judgment. The result is a feeling of calm and empowerment.
